Introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment modality that is used for a variety of counselling and psychological problems and issues. In this module students will learn about the background and theoretical basis for CBT and learn to evaluate a client-s suitability for CBT interventions in counselling. Students will also develop skills and knowledge in the methods and techniques utilised in CBT.
