STUDY TOURS

Morling College offers Greece and Turkey, Israel and Jordan & Reformation Study Tours, on rotation, in January each year.

A Study Tour is an unparalleled learning experience as you are immersed in the place and space in which key biblical events occurred.

The tours are, administratively, Semester 2 units in the year prior to the trip, with pre-reading done before the tour commences, and assessment to be completed after the tour (by early Semester 1). Fee-Help is available for a significant portion of the cost of the unit for eligible students.

*Delivery of any Study Tour is dependent on meeting minimum numbers, and the schedule is subject to change dependent on travel and curriculum considerations. Please register your interest with us to be kept updated on any changes.

  • Greece & Turkey Study Tour (January 2022)

    Unit Codes: BB202-512, BB202-612, BB202-712, BB202-812
    Intended for delivery*: January 2022
    Study load: This unit counts towards the study load of the previous semester (eg S2-2021) 

    Morling is pleased to offer both current and prospective students the opportunity to participate in a Study Tour of Greece and Turkey in January 2022. Departing from Sydney on 12th January and returning on 27th January (dates tbc), some highlight destinations of the tour include Athens, Corinth, Cappadocia, Pisidian Antioch, Hierapolis, Laodicea, Ephesus, Patmos and Troas.

    This Study Tour will be classed as a Semester 2, 2021 unit and part of the cost of this tour can be deferred to FEE-HELP for eligible students. As places are limited, please let us know if you intend to take this tour as soon as you can. After we receive your expression of interest, we will send out further details.

    Students completing this unit as part of an accredited award are required to complete assigned pre-reading before the tour commences, and complete assessment work after the tour (by early Semester 1).

    Everyone is warmly invited to join us! You do not need to be a student.

    Costs provided below are indicative only, based on previous tours. Actual costs will change and will be provided closer to the time of the Study Tour.

    For students at Morling (or an affiliated ACT-College) – Enrol in one of the following units in Semester 2, 2021 to attend the Study Tour for credit towards your award:

    • BB202-512, BB202-612, BB202-712, BB202-812
    • Cost: TBC (indicative previous tour cost - $8,890 ($3690 non-FEE-HELP component + $5200 FEE-HELP component)

    Audit (Non-Students): TBC (indicative previous tour cost - $7,140)

    Optional Single Room Supplement: TBC (indicative previous tour cost - $950)

  • Israel, Palestine & Jordan Study Tour (January 2023 - tbc)

    Study load: This unit counts towards the study load of the previous semester (eg S2-2022) 

    Morling is pleased to offer both current and prospective students the opportunity to participate in a Study Tour of Israel and Jordan, scheduled for January 2023. Some highlight destinations of the tour include Amman, Petra, The Dead Sea, Jerusalem, Mount Carmel, Megiddo & The Sea of Galilee.

    This Study Tour will be classed as a Semester 2, 2022 unit and part of the cost of this tour can be deferred to FEE-HELP for eligible students. As places are limited, please let us know if you intend to take this tour as soon as you can. After we receive your expression of interest, we will send out further details.

  • Christianity in History Study Tour (Jan 2024 tbc)

    Our Christianity in History Study Tour is a wonderful opportunity to see Church History come to life as we travel through Germany, Strasbourg and Switzerland. Experience the churches, castles, and towns where reformers like Luther, Zwingli, Calvin and the Swiss Brethren lived and taught. We’ll also visit Rome, the Eternal City, with its ancient and renaissance past. Come and be inspired!

    This Study Tour will be classed as a Semester 2, 2022 unit and part of the cost of this tour can be deferred to FEE-HELP for eligible students. As places are limited, please let us know if you intend to take this tour as soon as you can. After we receive your expression of interest, we will send out further details.
